Role Summary:

The Machine Operator Entry - Flow Cells 2nd Shift will be required to perform each of the tasks below in a safe and timely manner. The Operator must focus on quality as well as productivity.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Machine Operator Entry - Flow Cells 2nd Shift, you will:

+ Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions, adjusting machines as necessary

+ Inspect workpieces for defects, and measure workpieces to determine accuracy of machine operation, using rules, templates, or other measuring instruments

+ Read blueprints to determine product specifications

+ Start machines to engage feeding, cooling, and lubricating mechanisms

+ Perform minor machine maintenance, such as oiling or cleaning machines, dies, or workpieces, or adding coolant to machine reservoirs

+ Inspect, measure, or test completed metal workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices

+ Assemble, align, and clamp workpieces into holding fixtures to bond components

+ Changeover, operate, or tend machines

+ Correct problems by adjusting controls or by stopping machines and opening holding devices

+ Select work from SAP production schedule and perform confirmation transactions

+ Repetitive heavy lifting

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ High School Diploma / GED

Desired Characteristics:

+ Good safety, attendance and performance record

+ Able to interpret shop blueprints

+ Able to interpret MOSs

+ Able to do arithmetic and basic shop math

+ Use standard measuring instruments

+ Work with minimum supervision

+ Communicate effectively

+ Works well with others
