Machinists will be responsible for performing multiple tasks to support the fabrication of locomotive/mining components. In addition to machining, you will have responsibility for assembling components and other duties as assigned. Machinists are responsible for working together as a team to improve manufacturing processes and promote a climate of cooperation.
Machinist may include but is not limited to the following:
+ Understand andperform all functions required to set up and operate a variety of CNC and /ormanual machining equipment including but not limited to: 4 axis verticallathes, horizontal boring machines, gear hobber, gear grinder, cylindricalgrinder, radial arm drill and coordinate measuring machines
+ Use standard machinetools including, but not limited to drill press, band saw, lathe, press breaks,welding equipment etc., and a variety of hand, electric, and pneumatic tools
+ Change and adjusttools as required to maintain quality
+ Set up both fixturesand parts for machining
+ De-burr parts
+ Use manual andelectronic inspection devices to check multiple quality parameters
+ Set up and performsimple welding operations
+ Promote climate ofcooperation; leading by example mentoring others in safety, quality,environmental, lean and high performance work team philosophies
+ Work with allfacility employees on improving manufacturing processes through prototyping,fabrication and experimental machining to develop and prove concepts and designand implement necessary fixtures and tooling for manufacturing improvements
+ Assembly ofcomponents and full assembly of finished parts
+ Paint applicationsincluding but not limited to dry sanding, masking, unmasking, primer paintapplication, seal and touch up work
+ Material transportincluding the use of but not limited to, radio controlled cranes, forklifts andtuggers
+ Prying and settingheavy equipment may also be required
All machinists will perform multiple tasks in any combination and
concentration of the above-mentioned areas and will rotate through all or most
of the processes rather than being assigned to a specific task. Machinist must
be able to work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling numerous
components and other duties as assigned.
Must be able towork 3rd shift from 10:45 pm to 7:15am.
+ Starting pay rate is$23.76 per hour with night shift differential of $1/hr.
+ 3 years CNC Machiningexperience.
+ Working knowledge ofG&M code.
+ Minimum of 1 year ofexperience using blue prints and manufacturing instructions to produce machinedparts.
+ Must be able to liftmaterial up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
+ Must have ability toproperly use and care for assigned tools and equipment.
+ Must be able toadhere to standards, do a quality job in a safe manner, within allotted time.
+ Must have basiccomputer skills.
+ Must be able to passa pre-employment technical assessment.
+ Every employee willbe an in-process inspector.
+ Must be 18 years ofage or older.
+ Must have high-schooldiploma or GED or equivalent.
+ Must be willing towear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, hats,ear plugs and safety shoes.
+ Must be willing towork in a tobacco-free environment.
+ Be willing to take adrug test & submit to a background check as part of the selection process.
+ Be willing to submitto random drug tests.

+ Must be willing towork as necessary to meet requirements of the position, including the abilityto work occasional weekends and scheduled overtime.
+ This position has a SIGN ON BONUS - $1,000.00
