I. POSITION SUMMARY: Primary responsibilities are to repair, maintain and set-up any and all production equipment as needed. Also to apply all technical knowledge and experience to insure that all repairs and set-ups are preformed in a safe and accurate manner.
II. Essential Functions
Must be able to perform set-ups as per manufacture's requirements.
Must read and understand manufacture's preventative maintenance recommendations.
Performs production set-ups and inspections in a timely manner.
Maintains all necessary tools and equipment to perform assigned duties.
Reads and understands basic electrical schematics.
Performs basic electrical jobs such as motor replacements, switches and relay circuits.
Other duties, as assigned.
Language Skills- ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills- must be able to add and subtract numbers, perform simple multiplication and division.
Reasoning ability- must have ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions.
III. Work Environment & Physical Demands
Required to stand and walk, sit, use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk, hear, taste and smell. Fast-paced production operations can be expansive, multi-level, noisy and be very cold or very warm. The employee may be assigned to refrigerated work areas depending on the facility and product handling requirements. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock and occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme heat and vibration. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Required vision abilities include color vision and ability to adjust focus.
IV. Education, Experience & Required Skills
One or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
