Description and Responsibilities

Primary Objective
Identify and resolve equipment issues as they occur in a timely manner to keep production lines operating efficiently. To perform routine and non-routine preventive maintenance as identified through inspections and preventive maintenance program. To conduct equipment change over as necessary to support production operations.

  • Trouble shoot and correct equipment issues as they occur
  • Set up and change over equipment to achieve maximum efficiency during production
  • Perform routine and non-routine preventive maintenance as needed or identified
  • Support production, quality, warehouse, sanitation, and administrative staff with projects
  • Maintain all maintenance documents in accordance with plant quality and safety requirements
  • Recommend and implement plant efficiency projects as identified
  • Adhere to all maintenance programs with regards to safety
  • Follow all programs that require additional documentation or permits such as:
    • Confined Space, Hot work, Lock out/tag out
  • Set-up and maintenance of the following high speed production equipment
    • Inline filling, capping and labeling equipment for glass and/or plastic
    • Rotary rinser, filler and capper and touch screen controls
    • bottle unscrambling equipment
    • Labeling equipment (Pressure sensitive, thermal transfer and inkjet systems)
    • Automatic pressure sensitive case erector
    • Automatic case packers
    • Automatic pressure sensitive case sealer
    • Automatic check weighing systems
    • Fill level and label inspection systems
    • Case coding and marking systems
  • Work with vendors and contractors as necessary to perform installation and maintenance work


  • 3+ years as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment, preferable from the Beverage, Food, or Pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong background and knowledge in mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, and general building repair
  • Knowledge of sanitary design for processing and packaging for the food industry
  • Knowledge of liquid mixing, pasteurization and packaging systems
  • Knowledge of utility use and regulations for water, steam, electrical, etc…
  • Knowledgeable in GMP and HACCP programs
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft products)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork mentality
  • Performs other duties as assigned
