Adecco Direct Hire is recruiting on behalf of our client in Gainesville, Georgia for the position of Maintenance Technician. Our client is a heavy volume manufacturing entity, and are seeking a qualified maintenance technician with that kind of background. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for repairing and troubleshooting production equipment and building systems. Please see a list of duties and responsibilities below: Job Duties/ Responsibilities: Inspection of equipment and assembly processes to prevent damage and/or determine root cause of malfunction or damage to equipment or components. Perform troubleshooting and repairs using hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, test devices, and precision measuring tools. Install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, machinery, lift assists, and devices while referring to blueprints, schematics, logic diagrams, and maintenance manuals & catalogs. Install, troubleshoot, debug, and repair electrical control equipment (480V or lower) and devices such as proximity switches, photo eyes, fiber optic switches, control relays, and other devices of this type. Operate fabrication equipment such as welders, cutting torches, and other machine shop equipment as needed to fabricate from drawings or sketches. Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned. Research parts and initiate request to purchase. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills and Experience: HS Diploma / GED plus 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. English language competency required. Working knowledge of PLCs, CNC equipment, European blueprint drawing, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic functionality. Preferred Skills and experience: 2 year degree in Maintenance Technology (can be in process). TS16949 and ISO 14001 awareness training. Working knowledge of SAP preferred.
