Under Direct Supervision of the Medical Director of Radiology and the Department Director, and according to policies and procedures, the Women's Health technologist performs breast imaging and interventional breast procedures with radiologist and surgeons.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Must be able to demonstrate understanding of HCA's and St. David's "patients First" safety initiative by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures.
2. Written and verbal communication skills adequate for performance of the position.
Required: Graduation from AMA approval program in Radiology Technology
Required: Minimum two years' experience in an acute care setting as an x-ray technologist and one year experience as a mammographer.
Required: ARRT certification as an x-ray technologist in mammography; Licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services; Current certification as a BLS Course C or D provider
