As an empowered Manager of Business Development (BDM), you will build, motivate and inspire a team of sales professionals responsible for identifying, developing and presenting business cases, as well as securing access to commercial property. Your strong communication and leadership skills, and business and financial acumen, will be instrumental in elevating the team's ability to establish professional relationships that propel economic growth within our community and optimize revenue growth for Comcast. By leveraging your own executive presence, you will also build a strong network of top-tier relationships positioned to further the advancement of our strategic objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads, coaches and guides a team comprised of Business Development Representatives and Market Development Representatives.
  • Enables team to effectively foster and maintain relationships and business partnerships with municipalities, commercial real estate developers, property owners/managers, and key constituents.
  • Provides strategic direction for network expansion activities within a specific geographical territory in order to exceed monthly targets.
  • Manages team responsible for working with commercial property developers, owners, and managers to negotiate and secure access to their properties.
  • Maintains oversight of key expansion projects to ensure target results are achieved.
  • Provides thought leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementation of strategic business objectives and priorities.
  • Works with team members to identify options for meeting development goals, explores environmental supports and barriers to development, and jointly determines appropriate developmental activities.
  • Partners with cross functional internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on meeting business objectives.
  • Makes timely decisions on issues requiring immediate attention, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.

  • Leads team and resource planning of the strategic staff.
  • Explores alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties.
  • Identifies more critical and less critical team activities and tasks; adjusts team priorities when appropriate.
  • Evaluates and manages new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures.
  • Oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Structures and builds detailed financial models to evaluate new business opportunities.
  • Drafts business plans and deal summaries.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education Level

- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent

Field of Study

Business or Marketing preferred

Certifications

Years of Experience

Generally requires 6 9 years related experience (telecommunications or commercial real estate preferred)
