POSITION SUMMARY:

 

TIAA’s Business Finance Officer (BFO) team is looking for a Finance Manager in our Charlotte, Denver or New York office to support the IFS Strategy and Portfolio Project Management Teams.  The IFS SPPMO Finance Relationship Manager will provide their respective Business Leader and Management Team with decision support through the use of management reporting, future-focused analytics, predictive modeling capabilities, decision tools and problem-solving support to help drive our businesses financial planning, budgeting and forecasting requirements.  This person will also play a critical role in partnering with the Enterprise and IFS Strategy and Portfolio Project Management Organization, as well as the business, in facilitating the execution of the multi-year strategic roadmap and its impact across the entire firm.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
 

  • Execute and own change management, implementation and adoption of new processes, technology or strategies for the BFO
  • Strong day-to-day leadership presence (foster collaboration across teams: BFO, CFP&A, Business, etc.)
  • Oversee the coordination of and drive consistency for the annual plan, forecast and strategy work
  • Determine appropriate metrics to performance goals across the team and create the infrastructure to measure progress throughout the year
  • Analyze the current technology infrastructure and scope out the next level of information technology and financial systems that support the growth of specific programs and the organization overall
  • Oversee regular / ad-hoc reporting for the consolidated Institutional business
  • Lead and oversee reporting requests among business line CEO, leadership team members and CFO for the IFS & ECC BFO team
  • Make recommendations for issue resolution; maintain and improve current financial models
  • Cultivate and strengthen the values within the organization
  • Incorporation of productivity and continuous improvement methodologies to ensure long-term success
  • Presenting and clearly articulate the financial results of the business to the CEO and IFS Leadership team
  • Develop models / tools for early identification of financial trends and drivers for use across business segments
  • Drive consistency of our core BFO processes

 



QUALIFICATIONS:


Required Skills

  • Minimum 7+ years of financial planning and analysis and financial management reporting experience with a proven track record. 
  • Must have experience in Financial Services industry, particularly Retirement Services or Asset Management
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.

 

Required Certification(s), degree(s) and/or license(s)

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 
  • CPA/MBA preferred
