At LinkedIn, we're looking to hire Manager, Client Deployment & Operations Services for the Compute Team. As a manager, you will lead the team responsible for maintaining our client systems running macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android. You will be leading the team that is responsible for all OS and application patch testing and deployment to over 10,000 client systems globally. As well as creating and maintaining software packages and ensuring version standardization across all applications and systems. The team also serves as a tier 3 support for our global regional IT and helpdesk groups.

Responsibilities: Provide leadership for a geographically distributed team of highly skilled engineers managing the client end points across LinkedIn. Consistently communicates the team's plan and objectives, both internally and to our business partners and executive team Test and evaluate new client technologies and assist in developing and maintaining an end user computing hardware strategy and standards for LinkedIn.
Lead and coordinate escalations and incident response for issues relating to client systems.
Establish SOP's, metrics, reporting and KPI's to measure performance against predefined SLA's. Develop staff and guide their career planning and growth Own the operational excellence of the deployment of software and patches to all systems globally ensuring all systems are compliant with appropriate policies and configuration standards.
Develop and ensure execution of high-profile project plans by acting as an escalation point Partner with finance and strategic procurement team to maintain vendor relationships and enterprise level agreements in compliance with licensing requirements. Partner with Business Engagement to develop and maintain relationships with business partners to ensure that the team is meeting their needs as we enhance the platform and deploy new software solutions. Partner with the House Security team to drive associated security deliverables Partner closely HD and Regional IT teams globally to ensure issues are identified and addressed in a scalable and efficient manner.
Partner with Architecture, Engineering and Technology teams to drive technical initiatives and partnerships
Basic Qualifications: B. . /B. . in a technical or business field, or equivalent practical experience 5+ years experience managing Linux, macOS, Windows, iOS and Android devices.
2+ years of experience leading and managing teams
Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years leading and managing senior level individual contributors and managers. Demonstrated expertise in recruiting and managing a team of bright, experienced engineers. 2+ years experience managing Linux desktop systems and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure systems. 5+ years of experience leading large-scale projects involving complex technical solutions. Such as large scale Windows upgrades, MS Office Deployments, macOS upgrades on 1000's of machines globally.
5+ years of experience demonstrating customer-centric approach to building enterprise solutions in IT.
Demonstrated experience engaging customers to identify needs and concerns and ensure IT initiatives are implemented in a manner that reduces or eliminates impact to company operations and ensure maximum productivity or all LinkedIn Employees.
Demonstrated experience working across Compute Platform (Data Center, Backend Infrastructure, Systems Operations, Client Server Engineering) Hands-on technical experience combined with strong management and communication skills.
