Position Summary:
The primary responsibility is measuring, monitoring and analyzing customers' fleet data from Penske's data platform. Also responsible to manage advanced measurement projects, analyze, benchmark and provide insights to Penske management and customers about their fleets. Synthesize both traditional and new sources of data into insights and actionable business recommendations.

Major Responsibilities:
- Analyze fleet data from various sources to provide insight that improve fleet optimization. Own the development of the reports and insights.
- Develop strategic recommendations based on analysis, and insights.
- Work with the connected fleet team and other departments to understand the significance of the data, insights and communicate the results
- Directs the analytics team on additional analysis and research needed; coordinates reporting with other analysts.
- Coordinate efforts and resources across multiple vendors and internal resources to optimize the delivery of the analytics in our digital tools.
- Establish and document best practices and processes while developing long term roadmap to leverage data and insights
- Make recommendations and give expert advice to management on improvements and fleet optimizations.
- Interpret management policy as it relates to data analysis and project team management.
- Other projects as assigned by the Director of Connected Fleet Solutions

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in statistics, economics, computer science or a related field required
- Master's in predictive analytics, data science, big data, machine learning or related focus preferred
- 7 - 10 years' in data analysis including experience in working with data in parallelism
- Experience performing analytics in Hawq or Greenplum environment a plus
- Experience in core analytics method: Statistics tests, predictive modeling, logistics regression, linear regression, machine learning, etc.
- Advanced statistical and analytical skills
- Ability to work with large, continuously flowing amount of structured and unstructured data
- Understanding of data support languages such as SQL, Java, Pearl, R, Python or MADlib
- Cross-functional influencing skills, able to translate business owner requirements to technical team
- Highly proficient in SAS, SPSS, SQL Server and other analytical tools
- Transportation industry knowledge is a plus
- Able to translate complex analytics to insights that are understood by business users
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
