Adecco is currently engaged to see a Manager of Construction Material Planning for one of our customers who is the largest privately-held wireless infrastructure provider in the U.S

The Manager of Vertical Construction Material Planning, will report to the Senior Director of Logistics. The successful deployment of logistics solutions requires continuous assessment of material planning, forecasting, operational needs and an integrated supply chain solution. This position will be responsible for leading a team responsible for all planning and forecasting of the strategic and operational aspects of the network we are deploying. This person will drive the forecast and demand planning models, design, and management of forward logistics material stock levels. Responsible for the management of external suppliers contracted to support the logistics programs (3PL & OEMs), including RFP's, contract negotiations, contract management and relationship management. This position will also require program development, communications, training, financial analysis and inventory modeling. The Sr. Material Planning Manager will ensure the integrated logistics planning process is effectively and efficiently utilized with our key stakeholder; focusing on the right material, at the right levels, at the right time and place.


Analyze and collaborate with the Deployment Team, Regional Team and Engineering to oversee the material demand planning of construction materials, suppliers, and pole manufactures
Provide supply planning expertise for the lifecycle planning process with internal partners, third party service providers, construction material suppliers, pole manufactures
Manage the analytical techniques, and analysts, to align supply with the demand plan; continuously assessing lead times and forecast models
Support the Sr. Material Planning Manager with key relationships with critical suppliers; daily communication, collaboration, negotiation and reporting with stakeholders
Support the evaluation and purchasing tradeoffs to maximize mutual benefit of bulk purchase
Collaborate with the logistics team to create solutions for supply issues while controlling costs
Work with internal teams and suppliers to stay aligned with key Logistics and Supply Chain strategies
Ascertaining industry/logistics best practices to identify new and/or unique programs to differentiate


Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or related relevant discipline; MBA preferred
Requires five to seven (5 - 7) years of wireless network industry experience; material management, planning, deployment
Experience in wireless, telecommunications, construction, and/ or public utility is required
Working knowledge of inventory systems management, lead time management, and forecasting is essential
Advanced experience with standard MS Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to lead diverse and cross-functional teams, including external vendors
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
Strong team orientation, both internal and external, with ability to coach and mentor regardless of reporting relationship
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously; proven project management and analytical skills
Proven excellent written and oral communication skills, including speaking in front of small and large groups
Well organized, strong administrative and detail oriented skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively evaluate and negotiate strategic business partnerships
APICS-CPIM or equivalent certification preferred
