Position Summary :
Performs all technical, administrative, and supervisory duties in the absence of the Director of Imaging Services. Exercises professional judgment in performance of duties and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Must be able to demonstrate understanding of national patient safety initiatives by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures as required by both HCA and Round Rock Medical Center. Performs all duties of a radiological technologist under the direction of a radiologist and / or Director of Imaging Services. Supervises staff when appropriate, and possess effective communication, skills verbal and written.
Education and Experience :
Required: Completion of formal Allied Health Professional Training in an AMA approved school,
Preferred: 1-2 years previous supervisory experience in Imaging Department preferred.
Licenses and Certificates :
Required: Current licensure in Texas as Certified Medical Radiological Technologist, licensure by ARRT, and current BLS certification
Preferred: Advanced level multi-modality registered
