This position reports directly to the Senior Director, Accounting and will provide assistance and financial acumen support to Departmental and Production Management, as well as other areas within the St. Louis Pfizer site. Is responsible for both Brentwood and Westport locations. Duties include managing annual site budget and monthly forecasting models. The scope includes a total portfolio operating budget of over $150M. The role demands an individual who is capable of driving efficiency through continuous improvement of process and procedure while working in a complex, global, matrix environment and managing competing deadlines and priorities. Candidates should be able to interact with and influence all levels of management to ensure all financial and operational targets are achieved. A Financial Analyst reports into this role. • Assists Site leaders in the preparation and continuous monitoring of forecasts and budgets. • Responsible for creating and administering financial training materials and programs for all levels of the organization. • Manages multiple-site forecasting and budgeting systems to provide consolidations and controls over submitted information. • Also manages budget calendar to ensure all required data is identified and on track. Ensures quality, accuracy and timeliness of the month-end close, monthly reports, accruals, balance sheet reviews, forecasts and the annual budget / operating plan preparation. • Provides insightful financial /analytical support for key business decisions (responsible for both Brentwood and Westport). Works closely with internal customers to provide appropriate Site financial management reporting to assist in decision making. Responsible for identifying areas of opportunity for improvement in process, and implementing the methodologies that drive positive change. Leads change initiatives within the team and foster a culture of continuous improvement. • Prepares NPV's, ROI's and other financial analysis on capital projects and operating expenses. • Drives and cultivates collaborative relationships with department managers to facilitate an understanding of key business drivers. • Enhances operating efficiency as a member of the Finance team, sharing best practices, and leveraging experience and knowledge • Develops requested ad-hoc reports (overtime reports, unique site reporting) • Manages the daily \\ weekly \\ monthly activities of one Financial Analyst. • Ensures an effective internal control environment, compliance with GAAP, FAR and corporate policies, and provide support for regular internal and external audits QUALIFICATIONS • Education: BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required; MBA or CPA preferred • Experience: 5 years in a customer facing finance role, which could include FP&;A • Experience in accounting and business finance, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, Cost accounting, template creation, planning and analysis • Manufacturing plant experience • Communication Skill - Colleague has strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse groups and individuals PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to perform accounting and mathematical calculations and ability to perform data analysis.
