Primary Role

To provide Finance and Accounting support to the Thousand Oaks and Hayward facilities supporting the areas of plant spending, manufacturing variations, planning and reporting, costing, and capital.

Overall Responsibilities:
•Providing leadership, strategy, process improvements, and execution for the following key areas of responsibility:
•Spending: Responsible for managing actual reporting, budgeting and forecasting, site spending including payroll, production supplies, contracted services, depreciation, utilities, and property taxes
•Planning and Reporting: Responsible for reporting monthly financial variations via monthly operating review process. Budget, forecast, actuals for manufacturing variations, discards, scrap, absorption, and other cost of sales items
•Capital: Responsible for managing capital project financial reporting, accruals, project establishment, monitoring, and closure
•Hayward: Responsible for Hayward (Northern California) site support on an interim basis, including some travel, to provide project support and leadership support to the Hayward site. Also responsible for cost accounting for Hayward site
•Internal Controls: Responsible for the design and execution of internal controls under the areas of responsibility

Key Activities:
•Financial leadership and advisement to other functions within the site
•Provide direction and development to two direct reports
•Maintains reconciliation records of all billing schedules for auditing purposes
•Contribute to the coordination of financial audits, including Sarbanes-Oxley
•Coordinate all plant capital projects by ensuring all corporate policies and procedures are adhered to, ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner and assets are placed in service
•Correspondence and liaison to corporate/Global reporting requirements
•Special projects as required
•May perform other duties as assigned.


Education & Experience Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Finance or accounting with minimum 8 years of experience performing financial planning and reporting, manufacturing finance, or cost accounting
•Strong project management and interpersonal skills are essential
