Manager, Insights and Solution Analytics

The Strategic Customer Group within Johnson & Johnson’s One MD is recruiting for a Manager, Insights and Solution Analytics to be located in Somerville, NJ, West Chester, PA, Raynham, MA, Warsaw, IN, or Cincinnati, OH.

Within Johnson & Johnson Medical Device’s (JJMD’s) Strategic Customer Group, the Customer Marketing & Solutions department is responsible for helping establish Johnson & Johnson as the “partner of choice” with key health systems by developing and executing end-to-end customer marketing and solutions strategies aimed at helping health care providers reduce costs, improve outcomes, and advance patient satisfaction. The department has accountability for developing and aligning the Johnson & Johnson organization to a global solutions strategy and helping to build an insight-driven solutions portfolio both organically and through external partnerships.

The Manager of Insights and Solution Analytics will lead the development of global market research, business analytics, and competitive intelligence to uncover critical insights that will be used to support short- and long-term marketing plans. The Manager will be responsible for translating market and competitive insights into strategies that create a commercial advantage. Additionally, this role will partner with the Solutions Innovation team to develop novel, non-product solutions aligned to long-term strategies. The Manager will also be expected to collaborate with global regional marketing teams to help share best practices and optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of existing solutions. This role will play a critical role in providing “voice of customer” feedback to the SCG customer marketing and solutions team to ensure that JJMD continues to help healthcare providers address their most pressing needs.


  • Lead market insights generation for global health systems, including primary and secondary sources as required to gain unique insights into future trends and opportunities
  • Serve as a member of the Global Solutions Council which is responsible for developing and implementing an aligned strategy for solutions
  • Develop a solutions dashboard, including key metrics to measure the impact and value of existing solutions
  • Partner with commercial operations, SCG deployment teams, and finance to develop account segmentation and targeting analytics, as needed
  • Lead annual BP and SP process to ensure alignment with operating companies and global prioritization and coordination of new solutions
  • Establish and lead competitive assessment and brand health surveys to measure impact and effectiveness of new SCG organization
  • Partner with Solutions Innovation and Business Development teams to evaluate new solution opportunities
  • Provide insights on market assumptions and models to finance, marketing, and other stakeholders
  • Assist Business Unit Leader and VP of Customer Marketing & Solutions with strategic plan development and implementation

  • A minimum of a BS/BA is required. An advanced degree (MBA / MS) is preferred
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant business experience, with at least 3 years of experience in market research, account management, finance, and/or marketing required
  • Experience in the medical device and/or healthcare environment is preferred
  • Ability to manage and execute complex, cross-functional projects
  • Ability to influence and collaborate in a multi-stakeholder environment 
  • Ability to interact with and lead at various levels of an organization, including executives, key business partners, and peers 
  • Experience applying analytic tools (excel, access, CRM Database, or third party databases) to solve business problems is required. 
  • Experience with customer segmentation analysis is preferred 
  • Must have the ability to make decisions independently and seek guidance where appropriate
  • Ability to set strategies based on customer needs and business objectives
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal 
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills required 
  • Ability to apply negotiation skills with senior management for allocation of resources
