As part of the Innovation & Pipeline team, the Manager for ID and Consumables leads new product development and product enhancements to maximize ID portfolio commercial viability and ensure that product end of life management is conducted systematically in the best interests of our customers and internal stakeholders.  The role encompasses managing OneTouch Ping, Vibe and the Consumables business and partnerships

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

 

Manage product development for Insulin Delivery pumps & Consumables

  • Coordinates internal (local market, customer care, customer insights) and external stakeholder (customer, competitor, KOL, blogger) feedback to provide prioritized customer needs to Marketing colleagues in support of ID Durable Pump New Product Development efforts
  • Support marketing and clinical in maintaining and executing evidence generation strategy through product lifecycle

  • Following initial product introduction, ensures market deliverables are accomplished in support of planned enhancements as well as unplanned actions such as recalls or field corrective actions 

  • Work with customer care and others as appropriate to ensure organizational visibility to complaint handling / customer inquiries as well as prioritized efforts to resolve

  • Support ID Durable Pump Innovation and Pipeline core team members in assessing country suitability for new product introductions and in implementing market expansions

  • Ensure effective end of life planning, taking into consideration internal (commercial, R&D, customer care) as well as external stakeholders

  • Manage within approved annual budget 

Drive ID Lifecycle Process Improvements

  • Champion and gain support to improve internal and external feedback loops for ongoing ID durable pump product enhancements (partner with BGM and Digital lifecycle managers)

Training and Administration

  • Comply with all new product development training as required
  • Manage ID Playbook as the single source of truth regarding markets, products and timing

Maintain Target Product Profiles through product lifecycle

 

 

 

 

 


Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is require; preferred areas of study are Marketing and Business.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of related experience is required. 
  • A minimum of five (5) related Industry Experience in Consumer, Med Tech, Med Device or Pharma is preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of product management, product development and marketing experience in health care, consumer focused medical device or health based consumer products required
  • Fundamental marketing skills (i.e. branding, positioning, claims, packaging & messaging) and strong marketing / business skills and experience is required, preferably in global and / or regional marketing teams.
  • Consumer marketing experience a plus
  • Must excel at interdependent partnering in cross-functional teams; demonstrated ability to work cross-culturally and influence people without daily face-to-face interactions
  • Diabetes Monitoring or Insulin Deliver category experience a plus
  • Demonstrated understanding of patient, healthcare provider, and payer needs is required 
  • Demonstrated track record supporting and driving new product innovation and launches, with experience creating compelling patient and HCP communications (advertising on and offline, PR, support materials) are required
  • Strong presentation and communications skills and demonstrated ability to lead without authority capability are required.
  • This position requires limited travel for market research and possibly customer visits: 10% domestic and international travel. 
  • This position will be located Wayne (Chesterbrook), PA., Freemont, CA, Zug, Switzerland or Vancouver, Canada.
