Manager, Internal Communications - Product & Engineering

The ideal candidate will drive both strategy and execution of internal communications efforts. They'll be energized by being a part of a fast-moving, innovative organization. This position sits on the Internal Communications team as part of our global Marketing & Communications team.
Responsibilities:
  • Building strong relationships with R&D leadership and colleagues at all levels; advise on how to best communicate key messages to LinkedIn employees both within the organizations and to the company
  • Developing, executing, and measuring strategic internal communication plans that align employees with business objectives and reinforce LinkedIn's unique company culture, mission and values
  • Driving key business priorities throughout our engineering and product organizations, including partnering with the heads of the engineering and product organizations on strategic initiatives
  • Playing a strategic advisory role with the product & engineering leadership teams
  • Developing content for bi-weekly Global Company All Hands
  • Proactively building an internal communications strategy that supports the changing needs of the business
  • Driving and supporting key internal events
  • Play an essential role leading and supporting global communication programs
Basic Qualifications:
  • 6+ years internal communications experience, including experience in technology/product communications
  • Bachelor Degree in Communications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Internal communications expertise, including demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Leadership agility and ability to advise and influence senior leaders
  • Mindset (and experience) of being a business partner first, and a communicator second
  • Excellent writing, editing, creative, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and move fast, and thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated success partnering across the business to achieve results
  • Must be motivated, creative, proactive, flexible, and a quick study
  • Strong project management and decision-making skills; able to execute high-quality programs with speed, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who demonstrates comfort with ambiguity and can excel in a fast-paced, highly-matrixed environment
  • Ability to build relationships and effectively influence at all levels and across functions and geographies
