• Design and implement short and long term strategic plans to make certain IT infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements. • Plan, acquire, and coordinate installation of in-house and remote hardware and software across the organization. • Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts. • Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for IT projects and associated efforts. • Perform cost-benefit analyses for existing and proposed systems to assist Management in decisions on change and/or implementation of the Organization's IT infrastructure. • Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services. • Assess, approve, and administers all equipment, hardware, and software upgrades. • Manage and coordinate all outsourced IT related vendors with regards to the services and support they provide. • Manage and ensure effectiveness of servers, including email, print, and backup servers, and their associated operating systems and software. • Manage and ensure effectiveness of network, including security solutions, firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems. • Manage operational costs; conduct near and long term financial forecasts for expanded functionality/user base. • Assess network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure. • Oversee the administration of user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
