A Manager of Production Planning/Inventory Control job is available in Findlay, Ohio courtesy of Modis Engineering. The Ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree as well as five years' of materials experience working in a high volume manufacturing setting or automotive industry. The Manager of Production Planning/Inventory Control job is responsible for directing the material flow, procurement, and warehousing activities to meet and exceed customer requirements while controlling measurable variables to uphold established goals. The Manager of Production Planning/Inventory Control job will oversee personnel involved with receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products/materials and will regularly communicate with upper management as well as vendors to ensure inventory supplies and efficiency. Because of the multifaceted interactions the position requires, the Manager of Production Planning/Inventory Control job should have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and be able to strategize creatively.
Manager of Production Planning/Inventory Control Job Responsibilities:
-The Production Planning and Inventory Control Manager will oversee personnel on a daily basis involved with receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products/materials
-Conduct interviews, hires, and training of staff
-Review and revise production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials needs/priorities
-Record and compile production data including but not limited to: production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, and customer information
-Handle and direct preparation of correspondence, reports, and operations, maintenance, and safety manuals
-Review invoices, work orders, consumption reports, and demand forecasts to appropriately estimate peak delivery periods and work assignments
-Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets and equipment, and order testing, maintenance, repair, or replacement as necessary
-Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
-Five years' experience handling materials, preferably in an automotive or high volume manufacturing environment
-Previous managerial experience
-Able to compile, analyze, and utilize data/information on the job
-Exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with databasing
-Knowledge of market and delivery systems
-Knowledge of inventory control procedures
-Strong, creative problem solving skills
-Strong, motivational leadership skills
