Job Description
In this role you will have investment underwriting experience for equity and fixed income strategies and have a demonstrated investment track record in these strategies and related sub-strategies. You are expected to research and generate recommendations that are in line with client portfolio requirements and have the ability to communicate views. You will also be a part of the OCIO team where working in a collaborative way with team members will be required.
This position is located in Stamford CT. You will need travel and meet with existing or potential internal or external investment management teams both in the US and offshore.
Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • \t\tContribute to manager research and rating process for long only equity and fixed income managers including internal and external strategies
  • \t
  • \t\tYou will be closely involved with the manager oversight due diligence and reporting process including generating and monitoring the watch list and other governance processes within SSGA
  • \t
  • \t\tCapable of underwriting a prospective manager individually or as a part of a team
  • \t
  • \t\tYou will participate in OCIO investment process and communicate process/decisions to the team members
  • \t
  • \t\tInterface/communicate with OCIO clients about manager performance
Position Requirements:
    \t
  • \t\tMinimum of 7 years of institutional asset management/manager research experience
  • \t
  • \t\t5+ years experience in a role conducting manager due diligence including presenting findings to internal committees and/or clients
  • \t
  • \t\tCFA or MBA preferred
  • \t
  • \t\tAble to independently lead and prioritize multiple client projects
  • \t
  • \t\tHave excellent organizational project planning and execution skills
  • \t
  • \t\tPossesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • \t
  • \t\tAble to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external parties
  • \t
  • \t\tThrives in business building environment with changing priorities
