Claims Manager/Sr Claims Manager-Tampa or Virginia Beach preferred

The Claims Manager is r esponsible for providing oversight for claims staff.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Establishes departmental policies and procedures.

Provides quality control services by monitoring work results of direct reports.

Performs audits to monitor efficiency and compliance with policies.

Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

TheSr Claims Manageris responsible for providing oversight of claims staff.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Establishes departmental policies and procedures.

Audits/monitors efficiency and compliance with policies.

Prepares specialized reports.

Serves as subject matter expert for other areas of the company as well as within the department.

Provides policyholder relationship management.

Manages operational risk.

May be accountable for deliverables of a third party or vendor.

Provides quality control services by monitoring work results of direct reports.

Performs audits to monitor efficiency and compliance with policies.

Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Manages multiple functions requiring unique sets of knowledge or has significant fiscal accountability over and above routine people/equipment costs.

Successful candidates will possess strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong analytical, organizational ability, and PC skills also required.

Manager Claims requires:

BA/BS

1 year in a leadership role in addition to 2 yrs related experience

Demonstrated success leading teams of direct reports in a metrics-driven environment

Experience leading remote/virtual teams preferred

Medical claims processing experience required

FACETS or MACESS experience preferred.

Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel

or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Sr Manager Claims Requires:

BA/BS

3 years previous functional management experience, to include managing direct and indirect reports and managing time, attendance, performance management, hiring, and terminations.

2-3 years claims experience

Experience leading remote/virtual teams

Experience with claims rework, appeals, and adjustments preferred.

or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Excellent communication skills required.

Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel

Experience with FACETS or MACESS experience preferred
