Job Requirement:
  • 7+ years of experience in testing web applications, middleware/application for set top boxes/digital TV applications.
  • 4+ years test management experience in agile and waterfall delivery in Cable Industry
  • Experience with Systems development and associated Agile testing processes aligned particular to SCRUM and iterative delivery
  • Management of 3rd party test teams throughout the project lifecycle using agile and waterfall SDLCs
  • Experience in reporting to all levels of an organization regarding testing results and release confidence
  • Extensive experience of writing test strategy/test approaches /methodologies and test plans
  • Experienced at identifying testing and project risks to the IT software delivery teams, release managers and all stakeholders
  • Experienced at working in a continual improvement culture/environment
  • Experience of popular industry functional testing tools and monitoring tools
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills; good Team Player and able to take up the responsibility
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment.

Job Roles/Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with product owner to identify product and technical requirements and deliver appropriate test design/framework
  • Identify the test dependencies, test data requirements and design detailed test cases
  • Coordinate the lab/environment configuration that meets the test objectives
  • Work in an Agile environment and meet the specific test execution goal for each sprint/iteration
  • Maintains awareness of business, technical, operational, architecture and infrastructure issues
  • Manages all activities, personnel, and technical issues associated with providing technical service and/or solutions to customers by identifying, prioritizing, and confirming resolution of reported problems
  • Proactively understands customer's business processes and technical aspects of solutions, the key drivers and measures of success for the business, and the short- and long-term direction of the business and technology
  • Collaborates with technology suppliers & vendors in defining and development of technologies to support internal and external testing needs



Wide range of technical experience is needed including:

  • Device applications
  • Set Top Box applications
  • Experience in Video controllers
  • Backend infrastructure API testing (Microservices)
  • Testing automation
  • Continuous deplyment and integration
  • Networks and Network hardware (including customer CPE)
  • Software infrastructure development, testing and maintenance
  • Applications programming/analysis


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent work experience
