Eaton has an opening for a Manager - Executive Compensation based at Eaton Center in Beachwood, Ohio. 
 The Manager of Executive Compensation will assist in the design and management of effective executive compensation programs that are competitive, equitable, and provide for effective recruitment, retention, and engagement of highly talented employees. Provides subject matter expertise in all aspects of executive compensation. Directly responsible for executive service delivery and communication of executive compensation programs and initiatives. Participates in development of Compensation Committee materials.
Essential functions:
  • Assist in day-to-day management of executive compensation to develop deep understanding of all Eaton programs and practices.
  • Lead executive compensation services that 1) deliver excellent customer services to and solve complex problems for executives and 2) provide processing of executive related transactions, including coordination of complex legal/tax/benefit/compensation problem solving and resolution. Incumbent will have frequent and regular contact with senior executives and prospective candidates.
  • Create effective executive compensation communications, including branding, marketing, delivery and feedback.  Use feedback to actively drive process improvement.
  • Assist as needed with creating compensation committee materials; market pricing and analysis of internal and external compensation data and programs; and, executive offers and severance packages.
  • Review job profiles, internal comparisons and external market data to evaluate job and compensation levels for executives; make recommendations to management as necessary.
  • Interface with Eaton’s Global Compensation Community, HR Business and Talent Acquisition Partners, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and other roles within the Company as they relate to executive compensation programs, policies and compliance.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current and emerging legal, regulatory and legislative requirements and impacts to executive compensation programs.
  • Partner with vendors and consultants.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct executive compensation experience
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a continuous basis without company sponsorship
Position Criteria:
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and presence skills as they relate to working with executive level employees.
  • Strong, demonstrated communication, customer service delivery, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated, specialized knowledge of executive compensation including specific knowledge about all direct and indirect executive compensation elements.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to perform complex financial analysis and modeling related to the compensation program.
  • Knowledge of executive compensation regulatory, accounting and tax environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with plan and program communications.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and solid knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office products, as well as Adobe Acrobat.
