Job Duties: Responsible for managing engineers performing multiple and varied engineering tasks and specialties. Develop work plans, establish technical objectives and assign tasks. Monitor the completion of tasks within time and cost constraints and ensure that technical and functional objectives are met. Identify and recommend changes to established practices and policies. Responsible for overseeing the proactive development and application of new approaches to engineering design and development. Authorize the resources necessary to achieve organizational goals. Establish goals for subordinates that are aligned with EMC policies and standards. Develop and provide challenging yet appropriate assignments for subordinates, evaluate their work, and communicate their progress toward career development and goals. Interface with senior management to report on project and program milestones and to present project needs and technical knowledge.
Job Requirements: Master’s degree in Comp. Sci., Engin.(any), Business, Math, Physics, or related technical field. 24 months experience in job offered or computer-related occupation. Education or experience must include: 1) ScaleIO; 2) SLES; 3) KVM, Libvirt; 4) Pivotal Cloud Foundry; 5) Elastic Cloud Storage; 6) Ansible; 7) Distributed Virtual Routers; 8) Docker; 9) OpenStack (Nova, Glance, Cinder, Neutron, Heat, Ceilometer, Horizon, Keystone, Swift, Magnum, Octavia, Murano projects); and 10) JIRA administration. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
