Ethicon, Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Manufacturing Director – Finished Goods to be located in Somerville, NJ or considerations will be given to the following locations:  El Paso, TX / Juarez, Mexico and San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico.  
Ethicon, Inc., develops and markets products within three divisions: Ethicon Products Worldwide for wound closure and tissue repair as well as advanced wound care products; and Ethicon Women's Health & Urology with minimally invasive gynecological and urological solutions in stress urinary incontinence, pelvic floor repair and uterine disorders.

The Manufacturing Director – Finished Goods will:
Acts as a strategic partner with business leaders in the development of the manufacturing business strategy and effectively links the Supply Chain objectives to the business strategy
Provide key strategic direction and oversight for all areas of Manufacturing in the Finished Goods segment, integrating customer, product and market requirements in order to meet the goals of the business, with direct reports encompassing all manufacturing talent in the segment
Lead processes, organizations and governance to assure that all Manufacturing related requirements and Goals for the Finished Goods segment are achieved at all levels
Proactively evaluate, manage and effectively communicate risk
Create and lead a vision for breakthrough innovation with prudent risk management
Assure the implementation of the Quality Management Strategy for all Finished Goods locations globally
Be a member of the Ethicon HWC Leadership team, responsible for recommending strategy, including network optimization, manufacturing footprint, and development of suppliers; development & implementation of the business plan; and identification of new manufacturing processes and technology
Have ultimate authority and responsibility for all aspects of manufacturing for the Finished Goods segment 
Establishes strategy for manufacturing across the business and ensures adequate resources to support global programs
Effectively partners with quality to support audit readiness/preparation for risk mitigation and corrective and preventative actions and on-going process improvements
Partner with end-to-end Supply Chain, Quality Operations and Process Excellence to set strategies that drive continuous improvements for the customer
Prioritize and resource benchmarking activities and participates in best practice sharing internally and externally to drive competitive advantage 
Have ability to understand current and emerging technologies and manufacturing medical device regulations
Assure a risk management approach which achieves an acceptable risk-benefit balance to quality, compliance and business objectives
Be responsible for Finished Goods segment Budget 
Be responsible for Finished Goods segment organization and people management

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, Engineering, Science or related discipline is preferred.  An advanced degree, such as MBA or MS is preferred
A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in health care or another regulated industry is required
A minimum of five (5) years of people management experience is required, previous management of global teams is preferred
Ability to develop people, manage technology, embrace financial goals and utilize customer-focused decision making is required
Multi-plant experience with a focus on global markets is preferred
Knowledge of continuous improvement tools, lean manufacturing, six-sigma, flawless project execution is preferred 
Product life cycle knowledge and cost management is required
Experience with capital and expense budgeting is required 
Assertive Influencing & Collaboration/Teaming Skills is required 
This position requires up to 40% domestic and international travel
