A Manufacturing Engineer career opportunity is available with a global defense manufacturing facility/ machine shop in York County.

Essential Functions of this position:
* Design, write and implement manufacturing processes and operation sheets
* Implement cost reduction and cost avoidance efforts.
* Research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application w/mechanical drawings.
* Direct and coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications. May assist in set up operations of machinery (machine shop / CNC).
* Coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair activities of machinery
* Design products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software.
* Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
* Prepare time studies and estimates for sales, bids and proposals.

Qualifications:
* Education: BS/BA in Engineering or related field (BSME)
* Experience: 3-5 years' experience in engineering or related field with CNC machining/ programming.
* Special Knowledge, Skills Abilities:
* Must be able to perform statistical analysis.
* Must be able to use production and SME gauges
* Ability to create and interpreting mechanical drawings
* Ability to prepare and present technical reports.
* Proficient in CAD/CAM system & PRO-E design
* Ability to communicate effectively on technical issues and reiterate this language in simple terms for others to understand.
* Ability to work with mathematical concepts (probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations & General accounting principles)
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, sketches or schematics

*Master CAM / robotics / automation a plus!
