Orthopaedics is currently searching for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager at the
Raynham, MA facility.

Engineer III will play a key role
candidate will have experience in the following:
- Investigate & suggest a
pipeline of manufacturing technologies to be implemented to dramatically
improve the quality, product manufacturing costs &/or efficiencies for
new and existing products. Identify manufacturing technologies, and
applications engineering which will enable new and disruptive product
designs by reducing process capability constraints.
- Support the management and
justification of capital investment requirements for the site in line with
business growth. Assist in developing engineering project proposals,
recommending system solutions and specifying manufacturing equipment. Ensure that engineering projects are run
cost efficiently and deliver manufacturability and reliable products.
- Build and develop the
engineering team through the selection, recruitment and development of
exceptional engineering talent, and the development of core technical
skills and knowledge to support future growth. Manage resource allocation
and project management across multi-disciplinary projects to ensure delivery
of Business objectives/priorities.
- Develop and maintain an
environment of continuous improvement and process excellence. Work with
the Process Engineering team to successfully integrate new products and
processes into existing manufacturing operations ensuring good performance
metrics and capacity planning.
- Instill and maintain a sense of
urgency and customer focus within the manufacturing engineering team. Act
as voice of the customer.
- Collaborate with global
partners at other J&J Ortho manufacturing sites to align on global
solutions, suppliers and manufacturing equipment. Work across multi-site engineering teams
to create a multiyear strategy of 1-3 years for product transfers, new product
launches, technology for compliance, value improvement programs and
execution of J&J best practices that support the overall company
- Lead or actively participate in
cross-functional teams to ensure New Product Introduction/Research and
Development projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Bachelor’s Degree in
Engineering, Science or a related Discipline is required.
- A minimum of 10 years overall manufacturing
engineering experience and minimum of 2 years’ experience managing engineers
or leading other technical personnel is required.
- Experience in new
product introduction, applications engineering and managing cross
functional teams in an engineering/operational environment is required.
- Experience in Microsoft Suite (Word,
Excel and Power point) is required.
- Strong communication skills and
presentation ability to senior leaders is required.
- Knowledge of program and project
management qualifications is preferred.
- Automation experience for low
to medium volume production is preferred.
- Experience working in a CNC or
machine manufacturing environment preferred.
