The Manufacturing Programs - Lean Leader demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
In the role of Manufacturing Programs - Lean Leader, you will:
+ Drive lean manufacturing activities and ensure progress while tracking project status and closure
+ Develop and coordinate lean manufacturing training and education
+ Leverage best practice strategies and drive consistencies across sites when applicable
+ Create the lean vision and implement a lean strategy to reduce cycle time, inventory and waste
+ Drive measurable improvements in process flow
+ Assist in lean plan execution by leading Action Work-Outs (AWO's), training personnel and other activities to achieve world-class process flow
+ Serve as division focal point for business wide lean Six Sigma initiatives
+ Guide functional teams in developing and executing lean plans to reduce cycle time, inventory, and waste to improve process quality and create capacity
+ Promote Six Sigma/Lean integration utilizing the strength of both methods to achieve world-class business goals
+ Assist functional managers in establishing a process flow
+ Encourage use of lean tools to pull material from internal sources/customers
+ Remain current on lean methodologies and train division on lean concepts and mentor people using lean tools
+ Bachelor's degree in Industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or other engineering degree from an accredited college or university
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in lean systems and Six Sigma integration
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Ability and willingness to travel 80% of the time, as required
+ Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
+ Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
+ APICS certification or equivalent experience
+ Green Belt or Black Belt certification
+ Demonstrated ability to stay current with latest technology trends and understand impact of new technologies in a business environment
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
