The Independence Factory Manufacturing Specialist role is responsible for driving quality excellence in the factory. This key role responsible for driving the implementation of Unilever specifications, standards and Quality Management System (QMS) for quality assurance and controls in alignment with applicable regulatory requirements. The role will develop local SOPs and procedures as needed to support the implementation of these Unilever programs. This role will also ensure systems are in place to comply with local regulatory requirements and drives site Quality improvement activities to ensure product consumer safety & overall quality and address consumer / customer issues.
Reports through Site Quality Manager to Site Factory Director.
Drive implementation of Unilever specifications, standards and Quality Management System (QMS) for quality assurance and controls. Identify gaps in systems and procedures and actively drive to close them. Passionate about quality and help drive quality culture in factory.
Help drive proper decision making process directly impacting consumer safety and quality of Unilever products in the market place with implications on Unilever reputation and brand equity. Play a key role in mitigation and management of Unilever Corporate Operational Risk (Production of products that meet our environmental, consumer safety and quality standards).
Drives implementation of HACCP, hazard controls & pre-requisite programs such as pest controls, allergen management, hygienic controls, etc. to support site efforts to mitigate consumer safety risks.
Drives site quality testing program for received materials and packaging aligned with UL requirements and specifications.
Driver of Change Management within the site to improve quality metrics.
Assists all site teams with incident investigations to promote improvement of both efficiencies and quality.
• At least a 4-year degree in Sciences
• 2 plus years’ experience in Quality, R&D or Manufacturing
