Adecco is currently assisting a local client seeking an experienced Manufacturing/Electrical Engineer for their Southbridge, MA location. This position is a Direct Hire opportunity. The Manufacturing/Electrical Engineer is responsible for: Responsibilities: •Identifies and analyzes manufacturing problems related to production processes •Prepares process specifications, route sheets, material specifications, technical drawings and design sheets •Develops and implements new processes, equipment and controls •Designs and executes engineering tests. Issues final technical reports with conclusions •Prepares project authorizations with schedules required to fund engineering projects •Employs, as appropriate, design of experiments and defect analysis in tests •Prepares CER's for capital equipment •Manages R/D projects with timelines •Prepares presentations •Initiates and implements engineering changes and document revisions •Responsible for yield improvement and cost reductions projects •Trains supervisors and production workers as required Qualifications: •Education & Training: - B.S. Degree in a technical discipline •Experience: - Six plus years in manufacturing. Six Sigma experience preferred •Additional Knowledge: - Production equipment implementation/improvement and standardization knowledge strongly preferred - Strong technical acumen, problem solving, self motivated and independent - Effective communication skills: listening, writing, speaking and oral presentations - Able and willing to work with others on a team - Self-motivated and results oriented - Ability to work with all personnel within the organization - Ability to support department and corporate policies and goals, e.g. Vision 2010, Team Excellence and Bright Ideas
