A Manufacturing/Shop Technician job in Menlo Park, CA is currently available courtesy of Adecco Engineering and Technology. In this role you will be assisting in manufacturing related activities which include machining and assembling parts, quality control, inventory management and packaging. This is a six month plus contract job opportunity. Paying $27 an hour.

Manufacturing/Shop Technician job responsibilities include:
- Assisting in manufacturing related activities which include machining and assembling parts, quality control, inventory management
and packaging
- Operating mechanical equipment like lathe, CNC mills, sanders, grinders, forklift
- Assisting in running product testing and lab activities which might include running and collecting data on experiments, conducting
maintenance related activities on test and pilot equipment
- Assisting in shipping and receiving (receiving shipments, preparing shipments, boxing, unboxing) organizing shop material and waste
(cardboard boxes, plastic for recycling etc.)

Qualifications:
- Ability to get work done in a safe manner with strict adherence to safety policies
- Ability to work well with others and in a team environment
- Ability to quickly adapt to change in a fast paced fluid environment
- Ability to drive a forklift
- Ability to work on CNC milling equipment
- Strong electro-mechanical skills
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment
- At least 5 years work experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, basic computer skills
