Adecco is currently helping a local client, "the World's Largest Search Engine" for a ground breaking project. This is a 1 year temporary assignment to start, with possible extension of another year located in Mountain View, CA.
The Manufacturing Technician will focus on bring-up and troubleshooting of PCBAs, developing assembly procedures for modules containing the PCBA's and developing prototype mechanical and/or electrical hardware in close coordination with research and development engineers. Manufacturing Technicians will work closely with Tech Leads, Test Techs, mechanical/electrical/Automation Engineers to develop/improve assembly processes and documentation.
•Keeps production line running smoothly and workstations organized/clean.
•Support and anticipate needs of development engineers with mechanical assembly, machining, fixture development, troubleshooting automation stations, and basic mechanical design tasks.
•Support and anticipate needs of development engineers with electrical parts, bench instruments, PCBA troubleshooting, and basic electrical rework.
•Assemble various modules according to the specified standard operating procedures
•Prepare production documents, such as standard operating procedures, manufacturing batch records, inventory reports, or productivity reports.
•Give feedback to Manufacturing Engineers and Engineering Technicians on operating procedures/materials used for manufacturing
•Report personal end of day/end of week productivity and quality metrics
•Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures.
•Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
•Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products.
•Familiarity with electrical and electronic systems, including troubleshooting and bring-up of basic printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA's), soldering, and cable assembly.
•Experience assembling and modifying electro-opto-mechanical fixtures
•Intuitive understanding of basic mechanical design, tolerancing, and algebra
•Familiarity with and ability to use hardware tools
•Good problem solving skills
•Computer skills including formatted documents and spreadsheets
•Able to lift up to 40 pounds by themselves
•5+ years of experience in a research or development laboratory
•Experience using and modifying automation software a plus
•3 years manufacturing/assembling experience
•Electrical and/or Mechanical CAD experience a plus
•Experience with Linux/Unix computer environments and running basic programs (Python, C, C++, BASH, etc.)
•Soldering skills a plus
•Bachelor's degree or technical Associate's degree are a plus
Pay: Negotiable, based on qualifications
Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
