We are in search of a Manufacturing Test Engineer who will be responsible for designing test methodologies for various products during development and production. Our client has been in business for over three decades with a state-of-the-art facility in southern Maine. They are cutting edge contract design firm specializing in complex electronic equipment for the medical, aerospace and industrial control markets. Responsibilities: Review test requirements and translate into test procedures for production Identify equipment, tools, and methodologies for addressing product test needs Verify that test requirements meet product requirement verification needs and will produce quality products Design and document test fixtures to test products in a production environment Investigate and diagnose test kit problems and respond to internal and external customer requests for changes and improvements Requirements: 4 year Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering discipline 1-3 years experience working in electronic manufacturing (assembly & testing) Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (ISO/FDA/QS) Must be a self starter and possess excellent time management skills Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision Must have a strong background in test engineering within a manufacturing environment Must be familiar with complex electronic and mechanical devices and able to anticipate potential failure modes and develop means to detect those failures Possess sufficient hands on experience to develop test methods and implement the test using internal and external resources Must have programming experience to develop intelligent test fixtures and support software for communications and programming of microprocessor based products Must be familiar with SMT technology and standard test techniques for printed circuit boards Must be familiar with tools and equipment used in the test of electronic and electromechanical devices Must possess good interpersonal skills and have the ability to work between multiple departments in carrying out this position's duties To Apply - Please send a Word version of your resume to craig.macdonald@adeccona.com.
