Description: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
3 years' work experience in the marine service field and a graduate of accredited technical program or factory-trained in 2 or more product lines or 5 years verifiable work experience in 2 or more of the current brands and models applicable to marine repair i.e.- Mercury, MerCruiser, Westerbeke, Onan, SeaDoo, Mathers Controls, etc.) TECHNICAL:
Level II skills, plus demonstrate competency in all areas of boat repair and maintenance; clear understanding of interrelated systems and relevant standards pertaining to maintenance and repair of boat systems; supervise and mentor other technicians. TASKS:
Complete all troubleshooting and repair of systems and components proficiently and accurately; instruct/lead others in proper troubleshooting and repair methods; consult with and interact with customers when requested; maintain fleet records; maintain service aids, special tools and other unique equipment. OTHER:
Supply own extensive hand tools including some diagnostic equipment; maintain certifications; conform to industry standards while performing all work (USCG, ABYC, NFPA) GOALS/EXPECTATIONS:
Maintain levels of certification in areas of expertise and obtain experience and factory training in areas of less exposure; maintain current safety and environmental training; focus on responsibilities of customer service and leadership
- Strong English communication skills are required
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Must be willing to participate in the random drug/alcohol testing pool
- Must have extensive trade knowledge and experience in order to assist with other duties when business requires it
- Must have a valid US Driver's License and pass a Motor Vehicle Record history check (MVR)
