EXPERIENCE: At least five years full service marine repairs and maintenance and factory-trained in 2 of the current brands and models applicable to marine repair i.e.- Mercury, MerCruiser, Westerbeke, Onan, SeaDoo, Mathers Controls, etc.)

TECHNICAL: Level III skills, is considered expert in most areas of troubleshooting, repair and maintenance; intimate knowledge of all vessels; work outputs are superb in quality and quantity; technician has the ability to design and recommend changes to improve the operation.

TASKS: Will work closely with management, vendors and technical support; mentor other employees; administration of relevant recordkeeping; ensure related equipment is procured, maintained and staff is trained to operate; ensure Environmental, Health & Safety programs are implemented;

OTHER: Supply own extensive hand tools, including most diagnostic and special tools; maintain certifications; influential in staff development.

GOALS/EXPECTATIONS: Maintain levels of certification in areas of expertise and obtain experience and factory training in areas of less exposure. Develop and streamline customer service, fleet maintenance programs, and employee training programs.

Qualifications: Qualifications:
  • Strong English communication skills are required
  • Must be over 18 years of age and able to swim
  • Must be willing to participate in the random drug/alcohol testing pool
  • Must have a valid US Driver's License and pass a Motor Vehicle Record history check (MVR)
  • Pre-employment background and drug test are required for this position.
Must have at least five years full service experience in marine maintenance

Hand Tools, Drills, Saws, Sanders/Grinders, Fork Lift, Crane/Winches, Ladder, Chase Boat, Hand Truck, ATV 4 Wheeler, Welding Machine, Other Machinery/Equipment

Travel Requirements: Little or No Travel (>10%)

Lifting Requirements:
VERY HEAVY - Lifting objects in excess of 100 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
