Your Challenge: As an integral part of the Philips Color Kinetics Segment Management team, you will work closely with the global market Segment Managers to support the definition and management of the portfolio of lighting system and service offerings by Philips Lighting. Key responsibilities include assisting with market research, competitive analyses, assisting with content development for presentations and global communications, supporting thought leadership activities, supporting value proposition development, and fiscal analysis of sales trends You will be given the opportunity to learn explore and expand your analytical skills, your understanding of lighting systems and the global lighting ecosystem, portfolio management, and support thought leadership activities beyond lighting. You will be interacting with a broad group of engineers, and product management and marketing teams. In this role you will work on individual projects and team projects suited to your interest and skill set. In addition, you will be encouraged to express their interest in any other roles that they would like to contribute to and/or learn more about. Your Responsibilities: • Defining and managing the portfolio of lighting system - Support the documentation of the lighting system offerings, value propositions and target customer profiles. • Market Research - As directed, conduct market research on various topics related to the market segment size, market trends, and projected growth. • Competitive Analyses - Conduct competitive analyses on key competitors lighting systems, financial performance, target applications, and key value propositions. • Presentations - Create and support content for global communication and thought-leadership presentations on various application and technical topics relevant to the market segment. • Value Proposition Development - support the development of value propositions that are meaningful to and resonate with target customers • Fiscal Analyses - Conduct financial analyses of the segment portfolio for trend analyses Your Team: You will be part of the Professional Lighting Solutions (PLS) organization, which is a part of the Lighting organization. You will be reporting to the Sub-Segment Managers for City Parks & Plazas and Bridges, Monuments and Facades, both based in Burlington, MA. In addition, you may be required to support other sub-segments in the Public Segments, including Roads & Street lighting, Transportation, Sports and Arenas, Tunnels, Education and Municipal Buildings. Provides a wide variety of tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Must be flexible as timelines and deadlines change in a fast-paced environment
