The ‘Marketing Consultant, Marketing Operations’ role is responsible for tactical execution of Procurement and Finance activities across the US Retail Marketing organization, as well as supporting Marketing Acquisition & Operations initiatives designed to deliver continuous improvement & optimization.  Primary responsibilities include:


  • Marketing Procurement and Finance: Facilitate the engagement of vendors to support Marketing activities by serving as the centralized liaison between Procurement, Finance, and the Marketing organization.
  • Marketing Acquisition & Operations: Support organizational and strategic initiatives across the Marketing organization. Design, implement, measure, and iterate pilot programs to support Distribution productivity.  Conduct post campaign analysis to understand performance and highlight opportunities. 


Individual plays a critical role in operationalizing the Marketing organization by leading Procurement activities.  Additionally, the ability to provide operational expertise, think innovatively, and support clear financial metrics/tracking for ROI measurement will be critical for success.



  • Facilitates Procurement & vendor activities for the Marketing org: guides the bidding & vendor selection/on-boarding process and works within our Procurement system to manage purchase order creation and invoice reconciliation
  • Provides visibility and coordinates communication across several functional areas (e.g. Finance, Procurement, Print & Fulfillment) to help develop expense forecasts and operating budgets
  • Identifies & implements process improvements designed to drive efficiencies across key marketing initiatives & functions by simplifying operational activities (e.g. vendor management)
  • Supports marketing campaigns and initiatives from an operational perspective via process implementation (e.g. setup and routing of unique phone numbers for campaign tracking)
  • Works across a variety of projects simultaneously and prioritizes time according to business impact
  • Supports the marketing leadership team from an organizational health perspective (e.g. employee training curriculum)


  • 4+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Team player with a tenacious attitude, competitive spirit, and a great sense of humor.
  • Innovative thinker constantly looking to challenge the status quo in order to drive profitability.
  • Ability to navigate through a large matrixed financial services organization, working with Marketing, Finance, Product and Distribution functions toward a common goal.
  • Ability to present and discuss information to all levels of management.
  • Appreciation and ability to leverage data from diverse sources and drive actionable insight to guide strategy, business improvement opportunities and profit.
  • Able to learn a variety of diverse products.
  • Strong customer focus and analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to create an executable project plan and track and report progress against it.
