Brighthouse Financial is seeking a Marketing Content Specialist for the Retail Marketing Division within our Charlotte, NC office. The Marketing Content Specialist is a member of the product marketing team, and plays a critical role in ensuring all 1000+ marketing pieces remain current and approved for use.  


The Marketing Content Specialist sits within the broader Annuity and Life Insurance product marketing team, which is responsible for creating all Annuity and Life Insurance product positioning, product related content, and executing product launch campaigns. The marketing content may contain numerical figures, illustrations, and/or product feature language that can change whenever there is a product, rate, or state regulatory update.   

The Marketing Content Specialist coordinates with other stakeholder functions (product development, underwriting, pricing, etc…) in initiating these updates, prioritizes them, and executes the changes via our project management system, Workfront.


  • Execute firm and state variations for all marketing toolkits (e.g. firm specific marketing kits)
  • Manage Workfront interface with marketing team and all external stakeholders.
  • Partner with creative services to execute design updates in conjunction with content updates and brand standards.
  • Audit, review and proof marketing content changes and provide suggested changes
  • Manage compliance approvals for updated marketing content.


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related discipline preferred. 
  • 0-1+ yrs. relevant business experience.
  • Current FINRA series 6 license or the ability to obtain within 6 months of start date.
  • Knowledge of financial services industry, products, services, and sales culture preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, copywriting, proofreading, organizational & analytical skills.
  • Proven analytical, critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
