Marketing Director, Global Dell Outlet – Round Rock, TX The Global Dell Outlet team is the face of Dell in the secondary market. It primarily engages in Remarketing of Dell products that have been returned by customers. It is approximately a $600M business globally and deals with all of Dell’s products, from mobility products to Cloud servers and more. This business also supports the P&L of all the business segments in Dell like End User Computing and Enterprise Solutions Group. The Global Marketing Director role will own the 4Ps (Price, Promotion, Place & Product) of Marketing and will be responsible Recovery, DSI and Aging targets globally – with direct ownership of about $200M in revenue per year online through & marketplaces, and joint ownership of an additional $200M each year through offline sales. This role will report up into the General Manager of the Global Dell Outlet. Key Areas: · This role will be responsible for a global team driving the brand & pricing in the US, UK and APJ. The key KPIs would be Sales Recovery, Inventory in DSI and Aging · This role will also have ownership over online activities and results in other regions – UK, Brazil and APJ. The key KPIs would be Traffic, Conversion, ePen & Revenue per Visit · This role will also manage the Demand Generation activities and drive traffic to the US & UK ecommerce site, calls into the telephone queue and chats into the chat team. KPIs include ROAS, Traffic and Net New Customers · This role would also be responsible for allocating inventory between the various sales channels Responsibilities: · Drive sales through the best possible channels to achieve Net Recovery goals, while maintaining an optimal level of inventory- · Develop new channels to keep pace with changing market conditions · Work closely with Sales Operations, Pricing and Systems teams in achieving business goals · Co-own customer experience along with peers in Sales Support · Align with Finance and Planning teams in developing forecasts and other forward-looking plans · Co-own customer experience along with peers in Sales Support Key Success Factors: · We are looking for someone who has exceptional skill in communicating (oral and written) with all levels of management, internal and external, up to and including the Senior VP level. · Can independently handles ambiguous tasks and deliver good results with little to no guidance and intervention · Create an environment where diverse styles, perspectives, backgrounds and experiences are understood, valued, and optimized to achieve team goals, and appropriately handle confidences and demonstrate integrity, maturity, good judgment, and ethics. Requirements · Undergraduate degree in business-related field and 10 years of relevant experience in Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Business Management functions, management of a dispersed team, and working in matrixed organizations · Experience with the development of long-term strategies that capitalize on the company’s position in the industry · Experience with driving operational execution.
