The MARKETING MANAGER, NA INSULIN DELIVERY will lead demand generation activities for the Animas businesses in the United States and in Canaada.  The incumbent will be responsible for marketing to all key customer and stake-holder segments (including Patient, Health Care Professional, and Channel Customers) as well as have local marketing responsibilities for brand management and sustaining business activities.


The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of local market demand-generation activities, including the marketing communications plan for Animas in the US and in Canada.  This position will also be responsible for managing marketing activities and communications to all major customer segments (patient, HCP, distributor) in US and in Canada, as well as support key sales force enablement work-stream (e.g. POA delivery.)   

Other responsibilities include local market brand management and product life-cycle responsibilities of the Animas portfolio, as well as oversight for owned media properties in both markets (e.g. Animas.com and Animas.ca).  


This role will entail direct people management responsibiltiies, and will also require strong collaboration with cross-functional business partners to inform, shape, and deliver other brand assets critical to driving demand for Animas products in the US and in Canada.  The individual should be business and strategy focused, an experienced and effective marketer, and a proven problem solver.  The Marketing Manager needs to be results and performance driven, be a strategic thinker, a prudent risk taker, be well versed in collaborating with others, lead and influence in a matrixed organization.  


Qualifications
  • A minimum of a 4 year college degree (Bachelors) is mandatory, with a Masters degree being strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of business experience is required
  • Prior experience in the medical device or regulatory industry being strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of product management, product development , customer service, and/or marketing experience is required.
  • 5 years (combined) experience in healthcare marketing is preferred.
  • Previous marketing experience supporting a JNJ diabetes care product is strongly preferred.
  • Experience within global product management is preferred.
  • Core marketing skills (i.e. branding, positioning, claims, packaging, messaging, agency management) is required.  
  • Must excel at interdependent partnering and management of cross-functional teams; demonstrated ability to work cross-culturally and influence people without daily face-to-face interactions.
  • Strong presentation and communications skills are required.
  • Demonstrated leadership without authority capability is required.
  • Prior people management experience is desirable.
  • Experience with creation of clear marketing requirements documents and lifecycle plans is strongly preferred.
  • Up to 20% travel is required for this role.
