Current Need- Marketing Specialist 


Position Description

This position will support the private brand team in the determination of product assortment, merchandising, promotions, customer service, and pricing of the assigned categories and suppliers. The focus of this position is on the enhanced business results which continually improve the profitability for both McKesson and our customers. This role will also support the private brand team with the products and programs managed by the Consumer Products Group while providing superior customer service to both internal and external customers.

  • Assists Segment Leader with category management which includes item maintenance, loads, pricing, supplier promotions, and supplier relations.
  • Interfaces with internal stakeholders to create process synergies and efficiencies which will ultimately create a more enjoyable experience for our customers.
  • Supports the entire CPG team with the individual marketing platforms offered to the suppliers with the majority of the focus being on the plan-o-grams for the independent segment.
  • Provides Segment Leader with special reports as needed to aid in the evaluation of categories, inventory, and sales.
  • Supports segment team culture of constant innovation, freshness, and improvement: embrace, develop, and drive new items and thinking including enchantments to process, communication, tools, systems, items, and programs.
  • Effectively communicate cross-functionally, especially with sales, marketing, finance, data, and replenishment team members, in order to drive results.
  • Establish and maintain supplier relationships to effectively address escalated issues related to McKesson and customer replenishment issue in a timely manner.
  • Supports government pricing formularies and industry data bases for drug compendia publishers

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements
  • 2+ years experience in marketing

Critical Skills
  • Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Working knowledge of Netezza or SQL is desir

Additional Knowledge & Skills
  • Working knowledge of company products, company functions, marketing and/or service policies and procedures; excellent communication skills

Education
  • 4-year degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience
