Develop and lead process improvement projects that improve the safety, uptime and throughput of our production operations. Primary focus is electrical systems that run manufacturing process which could include AGVs, PLCs, HMIs and drive systems. Setup, tune, analyze and troubleshoot control loops such as temperature, level, speed, and tension. Provide leadership in the maintenance department on lean manufacturing processes to drive process improvement.
Qualified candidates must be able to carry out the following responsibilities:
+ Resolve issues in a safe timely manner, always completing work to NEC + Lead root cause analysis for equipment failures + Lead process improvements with lean tools such as 5S, TPM, and PM schedules + Receive projects from various levels of the organization + Track and monitor improvement of projects + Must fill out project reports on status, cost, and timeline + Troubleshoot PLC systems and Inverter related issues where appropriate + Extensive Siemens PLC and HMI experience to modify the programs so that process improvements can be implemented in a timely manner + Account for equipment downtime and parts consumed during the shift in SAP + Must work with all maintenance personnel on projects or otherwise to keep equipment operational + Must be able to use electrical test equipment DMM, Ammeter, and Megger meter + Train other technicians to perform maintenance activities within the limit of their capabilities as needed + Must be willing to assist in areas not typically defined as maintenance during special times of need + Perform multi-craft functions within your current level of training and ability + Manage drawing systems and records + Wear appropriate PPE and promote a safe working environment
+ Must have a high school diploma or higher + Show leadership by identifying and solving significant process improvement projects + Use lean tools to document variation and perform RCA + At least 5 years experience in an industrial maintenance environment + Proficient at programming Siemens PLC and HMIs + Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics + Must be able to modify schematics as changes are made to existing equipment + Must be able to work with outside OEM technicians and learn systems from them + Must be able and willing to participate in specific product training as required + Must be able to use electrical test equipment DMM, Ammeter, and Megger meter + Able to work under pressure and stressful environment + Able to work flexible hours and relieve for shift craftsman to support production needs + Excellent computer skills including knowledge of MS Office Professional Products + Able to participate in a team environment to solve problems and improve the process + Commitment to company values
