The main function of the Material Handler will be to verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and prepare items for shipment / assembly by loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near plant, yard, or work site.
In the role of Material Handler, you will:
+ Receive items that are in warehouse location and move to stocking locations
+ Unload materials from vendors to stock locations
+ Ensure items are stocked in correct locations
+ Pull work orders for production and warehouse in a manufacturing / service environment
+ Pull parts for orders for external shipment
+ Complete required processes & documents for control of inventory
+ Operate within inventory control computer systems
+ Comply with all EHS requirements
+ Prepare equipment to ship out to customer locations
+ Comply with all the required shipping processes to ensure equipment is shipped out defect free to customers
+ High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
+ Minimum 6 months of experience in a shipping, receiving, production and/or industrial environmentEligibility Requirements:
+ Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
+ Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
+ Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
+ Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
+ Basic computer skills
+ Self-motivated and team player
+ Prior product knowledge or experience
+ Previous experience in the Oil industry
+ Mechanically inclined
+ Knowledge of hand tools
+ Mechanical aptitude
+ Knowledge in reading micrometers, gauges and calipers
+ Ability to read tape measures and scales
