Eaton in Amarillo, TX is seeking a full-time Material Handler to work second shift. Primary Function: Support the foundry operation by ensuring materials are delivered so that operators can run production according to schedules.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver core boxes and patterns by means of Fork truck to and from the tooling department
  • Operate core machines as required to assist in production
  • Assist with material handling in other department as assigned
  • Learn the various machine controls and their settings
  • Troubleshoot the operation of the equipment as it pertains to core quality
  • Assist in the calibration and troubleshooting of the sand mix system as needed
  • Work with the Group Lead and or Supervisor to accurately run the production schedule and notify them of any issues that might arise
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 1 year forklift driving experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Amarillo, TX will be considered

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in following production schedules
  • Knowledge of simple hand tools

Position Criteria:

  • Understand and utilize the lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Forklift and frontend loader certified
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and production schedules
  • Must be able to wear all required safety equipment.
  • Able to use and be certified for fall protection, confined space, and respirator use
  • Must be able to perform all clerical functions required for the process
  • Ability to communicate across departments
