Adecco Executive Recruitment is currently searching for candidates on behalf of its client in Orlando, FL for the job of Materials Manager. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the business
unit is able to fulfill customer requirements in a timely and cost effective manner. You will be responsible for:

Pre-procurement requirements planning;
Logistics supply chain coordination,
Work in process sequencing, and
End use life cycle support
Collaborating with Tactical and Strategic Sourcing, Business Planning, and Manufacturing Management
Setting strategic and operational logistics and inventory objectives, tracking progress on these objectives, and reporting progress to senior management



You will have


Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related four year degree in Technology, Science or Operations.
MBA or Maste'rs degree in related field highly preferred. If you don't have a graduate degree, you must have at least 10 years' experience in leading improvements in manufacturing processes and inventory control.
Lean and Six Sigma certifications, PFEP, Lean Material Flow experience a plus.
APICS certification or equivalent.
Minimum five (5) years' experience as a Materials Manager, preferably within a heavy equipment manufacturing setting.
An understanding of ERP systems with an emphasis on MRP and Inventory Control
Demonstrated managerial experience with ability to delegate and develop resources.
Strong planning and organizational skills, interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office tools, Scheduling and ERP software .
Proficiency in Logistics Management, Inventory Control, and MRP.


You will


Develop and implement logistics strategies and processes for the business unit
Ensure materials priorities are communicated according to production schedules and customer demands.
Achieves OTD of materials to POU locations on each product line.
Safeguard the business unit's investment in inventory and protect against inventory obsolescence.
Maintain Inventory Cycle Count accuracy at 95%+
Ensure that plant efficiency is maintained through effective materials planning
Ability to develop and manage tactical purchasing
Develop and expand the capability and effectiveness of direct reports
Ensure the Master Schedule is accurately maintained with error free work orders
Ensure all inventory functions to align inventory levels with working capital objectives
Ensure adequate stocking levels for service parts.
