The Cardiovascular & Specialty Solutions (CSS) Group, part of the Medical Devices sector within Johnson & Johnson, is recruiting for a Materials Manager aligned to Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP), division of Ethicon, Inc., located in Irvine, CA.

The Materials Manager will:
  • Lead the Irvine Supply Planning team responsible for conversion of demand forecasts to supply plans, schedules and component requirements - balancing inventory and customer service objectives
  • Lead a team of individuals responsible for product code and component specific LIFR, Days of Supply (DOS) and backorder management, and is responsible for identification and mitigation of potential causes of supply interruption
  • Be responsible for the materials replenishment and kitting in the Irvine and Fontana warehouses
  • Develop robust business systems and processes to establish the Supply Chain as a competitive advantage for Advanced Sterilization Products

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • An Advanced degree is preferred
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of Supply Chain planning experience is required
  • A minimum of two (2) years of direct people supervision experience is preferred
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to drive results through a global matrix structure is required
  • Strong analytical abilities are preferred
  • Must have oral and written communications skills for presentations to all levels of customer and J&J management required                                   
  • Project Management experience and/or certification is preferred
  • Process Excellence (Six Sigma) experience and/or certification is preferred                                                                     
  • CPIM certification is preferred                                                               
  • Experience with strategic planning, capacity planning, master scheduling, and inventory control in a manufacturing environment is preferred             
  • Experience with Medical Devices, New Product Introductions, Contracting, Supplier Metrics,Advanced Planning Systems, and SAP is preferred          
  • Experience implementing ERP or WMS systems is preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, domestic and international is required
