MBA Summer Intern in Field Marketing: Segment Marketing

Segment marketing is responsible for the downstream marketing for the sales market segment in North America. The market segments include IDN, Government, Out of Hospital & Rural, and HISS solutions. Lead a team of professionals focused at bringing value to customer at the C-Suite level. This includes developing the marketing plans, strategy, building collateral/tools, and articulating how to position to develop Executive relationships and engagement that lead to orders within our segment customers. The role is responsible for keeping our Executive team and Leadership aware of market changes and prepared to for C-Suite engagements. Additionally, manage the Strategic Alliances to facilitate the branding and positioning of Philips at a higher level. This includes supporting leadership in developing channel strategies to complement and grow the business. The responsibilities include collaboration on business initiatives (Population Health) across a matrix organization, building consensus and business relationships to meet defined targets for orders. The Segment Marketing team is looking for an intern for summer of 2016 as part of the UW MBA summer intern program. The intern will be working on one of a variety projects to include: IDN Standardization Program, IDN return on investment (ROI) Program, or Out of Hospital. The project will require them to gather customer insight, analyze, and recommend programs. The programs can include: customer targeting, product mapping, and/or building value propositions. Intern role • Research over multiple data source on customer spending, conduct analysis and provide recommendation. • Establish model to identify target accounts market share and market size • Establish reports that compare Philips booking vs. market share • Forecast customer budget and identify Philips future growth opportunity in the target accounts.
