Primary Duties of the Medical Assistant under the ECG Lab Supervisor and the Department Manager will be to:
Conducts and records electrocardiograms according to established procedures and is responsible for attaching and explaining the ambulatory cardiac monitors and their use to patients.
Instructing patients on the proper activity and record-keeping during the monitored period.
Processes ambulatory cardiac monitor transmissions,
Maintains patient data files, and assists the Supervisor in training of staff and implementing Department policies and procedures.
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Must have ECG experience(Preferred)
Completion of all requirements in a recognized Medical Assisting training program or completion of the minimal training requirements as outlined in Section 1366 of the Business and Professions Code required.
Knowledge of medical terminology required. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of clinic staff and public required.
Ability to work independently as well as an integral part of the patient care team is required. One to two years prior experience as a MA preferred.
