Primary responsibility is the accurate and timely performance of laboratory tests as assigned. In the absence of the Director of Laboratory Services or the Manager of Laboratory Services, the most senior (most years of service) is responsible for the overall operations of the laboratory. This includes providing high quality lab tests, quality control, preventive maintenance of equipment, computer activities, and collection of specimens. Population served: Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric. Performs other duties as assigned or necessary.
Education: Must meet at least one of the requirements determined for a Medical Technologists and Clinical Laboratory Scientist by the Georgia Department of Human Resources, Rules and Regulations of Clinical Laboratories. Must meet CLIA '88 requirements for the level of testing performed.
Experience: One year of experience preferred.
