Medical Secretary We currently have an opportunity for a Medical Secretary. The Medical Secretary will perform a variety of administrative duties to support the assigned department(s). This candidate will compose, type and transcribe correspondence, forms, reports and presentation materials with other written communications as required. Screen visitors, telephone calls and handle general inquiries. The Medical Secretary will schedule and coordinate meetings, conferences, special events, appointments and travel arrangements. Maintains assigned calendar. Establishes and maintains filing systems. Order and stock supplies. Uses independent judgment to determine priority and sensitivity of inquiries and responses. Deals discreetly with sensitive and confidential information concerning professional and personal performances of staff, institution affairs, information contained in minutes, letters and other documents. The Medical Secretary assists in preparing documents and agendas associated with meetings; may attend meetings, take notes, transcribe and disseminate minutes as required. Provides research and administrative support to special projects, preparing data and follow-up. May handle incoming and outgoing mail that will include opening, sorting and prioritizing. May assist with supporting accounts payable processes as assigned.
